This is what we do:..... BKM Watch is run by volunteer resident members who are endeavouring to make BKM crime free and a better place to live. To achieve this via comunity and business funding we provide and maintain 24-hour surveillance cameras throughout most of the residential areas, using the latest number plate recognition software and other technological advances. Cameras are situated at major entrances to the area and in other undisclosed locations. After LPR alert verification CVIC controllers notify various SAPS and SSP’s (security service providers) of suspicious vehicles listed for various transgressions against the law, most often house robberies, burglaries, ATM fraud and shoplifting – this data base is shared nationally.
This is what YOU can do:..... Get involved. Become a resident member by signing up on this web site. Voluntary monthly contributions via debit order are encouraged as this assists to fund our 24 hour camera monitoring and other operational costs. As a member of BKM, you can receive safety tips, email reports of crime incidents in our area, news of community projects and items of interest to the residents. Contributing members are encouraged to report suspicious vehicles or persons and any crime incidents to CVIC - 086-000-2669
